Data Engineer

Seeking a Data Engineer to join our team, working primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines for reporting and analysis, as well as creating an API to facilitate the seamless exchange of product catalogue updates from our clients’ e-commerce websites.

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Design, develop, and deploy data pipelines for processing and analyzing complex user actions data using SQL, Google Cloud Workflow, and BigQuery on GCP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions to meet business needs.
• Create and maintain scalable APIs to facilitate the uploading of product catalogues and the real-time updating of product information (e.g., price, stock) and cart data.
• Optimize data pipelines and API performance for efficiency and reliability.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience
• Proven experience working with Python, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, and SQL.
• Strong understanding of data engineering principles and best practices.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines for large-scale data processing and analysis.
• Familiarity with API development and integration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
